We're excited to welcome Chelsea Rowles and Sydnee Bickett to the Art Buddies team! Chelsea and Sydnee will be contracting with us to coordinate our 2017-18 after-school programing.
Chelsea (pictured left) began working with youth in 2001, teaching art and developing curriculum for children ages 3-16. Since then, she has worked for various arts organizations, summer camps and museums, and recently earned her M.A. in Educational Psychology with studies in early childhood education and program evaluation.
Sydnee (pictured right with her former Art Buddy) brings her professional experience as a lifestyle photographer and business owner, plus years of nonprofit program coordination with organizations like Mpls Photo Center and CreativeMornings/MSP. Since volunteering as an Art Buddies mentor in 2014, she has developed an intimate understanding of our program and its impact on both volunteers and the children we serve.
This fall, our team will pair 100 Art Buddies kids with 100 creative mentors at our three partner schools in the Twin Cities.
If you would like to volunteer as a creative mentor this fall, please watch for our Mentor Application to launch in August!
