Our Awards and Press

In 2004, Creatives for Causes received the Angel of Mentoring award from the Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota. The award honors Twin Cities organizations which exemplify the best in mentoring.

Creatives for Causes and its Art Buddies program have been featured on the Minneapolis TV stations WCCO, KSTP and KARE 11, plus the Minneapolis Star Tribune and St. Paul Pioneer Press. Art Buddies was also featured in Twin Cities Business Monthly and Minneapolis/St. Paul magazines, plus various other local and national publications.

Communication Arts magazine featured Creatives for Causes in 1998 and has been a major funder since 1996.

Our nonprofit’s founder, Sue Crolick, was selected to be a KARE TV Woman of Distinction in 1996 for her work helping children. In 2004, she received the Advertising Federation of Minnesota’s Silver Medal award for her career achievements and community service. In 2006, Sue was named a Purpose Prize Fellow and national leader in social innovation by Civic Ventures, a San Francisco-based think tank helping society achieve the greatest return on experience.
